Background:
Tonks attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into Hufflepuff. After leaving the school, she joined the Ministry of Magic and trained to become an Auror under Alastor Moody, finally qualifying after very nearly flunking out due to clumsiness; while the girl has the ability to change her appearance at will she’s not exactly the most stealthy person ever. She joined the reconstituted Order of the Phoenix, working undercover in the Ministry and helping to guard the Department of Mysteries as well as Harry himself.

She also fought alongside the boy who lived in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, and at some point fell in love with Remus Lupin. Remus, feeling he was too poor and too dangerous for her, rejected her feelings, although he felt the same way. In the wake of the return of Lord Voldemort, Tonks was assigned to Hogsmeade as part of the Auror task force sent to guard Hogwarts.

Personality:
A bit of a rebel, Tonks tends to tread her own path with little regard for what others think. She does have the ability to walk the beaten path when necessary, but for the most part, she's spunk and spitfire, the latter especially prevalent if called by her given name by anyone, even her own family, though she will on occasion accept Dora as a substitute. If she has to.

She’s not exactly the type to settle down in any kind of substantial way though her recent run ins with Remus Lupin are making her think about it. She’d rather be a love than a fighter and is exactly the sort of woman you’d find gallivanting about getting into mischief at 2am on a random Tuesday morning.
